The emotional fallout after bankruptcy is something few people discuss. The process and overall experience of bankruptcy is stressful. This stress from bankruptcy can leave you feeling depressed, ashamed and the resulting strain to your personal, social and professional relationship can feel unbearable. Dealing with this stress is no simple task, no matter how bad your personal finances were in the first place.

However, bankruptcy can become inevitable if you are buried under tremendous debt. If it becomes seemingly impossible to repay loans and debt, there are several things you can do to avoid the ordeal. Even so, you should explore all your options including credit counseling and alternative repayment plans before taking the bankruptcy route. If you can’t find a way out and bankruptcy is inevitable, you must acknowledge the prospects and prepare yourself to face the stress that results from bankruptcy.

Since bankruptcy will not eliminate all debts, dealing with the fallout of bankruptcy often proves difficult and never-ending. Since bankruptcy gets recorded on your credit history for a period of up to ten years, it is not only nearly impossible to obtain credit, but potential employers are likely to conduct a background check before extending a job offer that can have a long-term, positive impact on your financial status. With a bankruptcy, securing that better job might become impossible.

If you are looking for ways to manage bankruptcy related stress, you can take a few steps. First of all acknowledge the condition as stressful. Some people may need medication to alleviate the mental pressure. Acknowledging the pain is important.

Next, you might want to share your financial situation with the people you are closest with, like family and your tightest friends. Since people rarely discuss their finances publicly, you may be surprised by the advice and emotional support these people can offer. At the very least, talking about your problem will help you cope. If you find your spouse and friends are unapproachable, you can look at seeing a counselor. The point is to talk about it as this is a proven technique for dealing with stress of all types.

You also need to put together a sound financial plan. After obtaining your bankruptcy discharge, be thankful for the fresh start you have been offered. And put together a plan that will allow you to absorb financial difficulties should they arise again in the future.

With the financial side of your life dealt with, look to optimize the non-financial areas of your life so that your mind and body are better able to handle stress. This might include adopting a healthier diet and becoming more active – diet and exercise are known to reduce stress levels. As well, consider reading non-finance related books and replacing them with motivational books instead.

Most often, filing for bankruptcy can be avoided. In only the rarest of cases are the circumstances completely outside of your control, but after the discharge has been granted, there is little point in debating such points. It is time to move forward and realize there is no point in blaming yourself any longer. Let go of the guilt and realize that without bill collectors calling at all hours, you can start preparing for a better financial life.

It is not unusual these days to have many different credit cards with both high and low interest rates and to end up having more bills to pay then you actually are capable to. This of course is often a very stressful situation and the norm for a lot of people.

When you reach a certain point and realize that things seriously has to change it could be a good idea to form a plan that can be a guide and help you get out of the credit card debts that you’re having.

If you feel that it is time to do something serious about your situation you can be sure that there are plenty of things you can do that is more sustainable than the quick-fix of getting another credit card loan that pays your other debts.

Most important is to become organized. This simple step can make a huge difference. When you begin to be more aware of how much you owe, when the bills have to be payed and so forth and you begin to plan how you’re going to use your income you are one starting to be in charge of your situation.

It is also important to be aware of the different interest rates on the different credit cards, especially if you’re planning to completely clear you credit card debts. In this way you can prioritize the ones that has a higher interest rate and in this way making the total amount of money to pay back less. It is smart to pay off those credit card debts in case you receive extra money.

Another good way to free yourself from debts with high interest rates is to take a debt consolidation loan. This is a loan that covers all the credit card debts and that has a lower interest rate. In this way you debts can become a lot more manageable.

If you feel that your credit card debt is beyond your abilities and you dont see a way to solve your situation, it might be a good idea to seek out debt counseling and service to find a way to make a plan that can work for you. In this way you get professional advice and you can let someone with plenty of experience help you get around your credit card debt and out on the other side.

Many people face problems when it comes to debt and managing their personal finances. Not surprisingly, debt problems are one of the most stressful areas of one’s life and are often cited as the reason for relationship problems and debilitating stress. With this in mind, resolving your financial problems needs to be done effectively so that you not only improve your finances and avoid having to deal with debt collectors (or worse) but avoid larger problems like stress.

The best way to get started with dealing with debt is to calculate your total debt levels. You can do this by organizing unpaid bills and debt from the lowest amount due to the largest. Next, decide the amount that you can repay every month. To come up with this number, you will need to complete a fairly elaborate budget. For a more complete plan, prioritize your debt based on the interest rates your creditors charge – with higher-rate debt being a higher priority than lower-rate debt.

Debts that need to be paid immediately should always take priority. If they remain unpaid, the creditors have the ability to take severe action against you, which is something you do not want. Past due rent and mortgage payments are examples of ultra-high priority debts. If you are seriously past due and cannot repay any debt without risk, consider delaying payments until a full budget has been completed, which we discuss next.

Once you have taken care of the immediate, high priority debt, the urgency level will drop. The next step in dealing with debt and managing your personal finances will be to review and refine your budget. By completing a budget that measures your monthly expenses, you will know what is left as “extra” which you can use to repay debt on a more consistent basis. Another big advantage with a budget is that it allows you highlight ares where spending can be curtailed even further, allowing you to save even more money every month.

In the event that you are seriously past due, you will want to connect with your creditors. Now that you have completed a full budget, you know better how much you can afford to repay each month. This will allow you have a meaningful negotiation with your creditors. Dealing with debt this way means revealing as much as possible to your creditors about your financial situation. If you are not comfortable discussing these details over the phone, you can write a letter.

These days, many institutions offer free services to people who are having trouble dealing with debt. These third-party service providers provide detailed knowledge and tips that can help you manage your personal finances. If you are having trouble month-to-month and feel like you are unable to overcome your debt, you should seek help from these types of organizations.

Since every situation is unique, it becomes difficult to give general recommendations about dealing with debt and handling personal finances. However, the above guidelines certainly provide a basic overview. To take your personal finances to the next level, you should visit sites like Help Fix My Finances.com to work through your own, unique financial plan.

The Obama administration released a plan to unfreeze credit by helping struggling banks to rid themselves of bad loans through a one to two trillion dollar purchase to stimulate economic activity. The news caused in a huge stock rally, though it cooled down on as all the info released in the presidential address started to take root and settle in. The initial shock and hesitancy should wear off as the pieces start to fall in place in the Presidents plan.

The President and his administration have plans to change financial regulations including such plans as greater government regulation and even in some cases to take over financial companies who are in danger of collapsing and causing chaos throughout the entire system, such as the controversial AIG. President Obama continues to stress the importance of helping companies such as AIG in order to build the economy up and stop the bleeding. If Insurance coverage and lending cease it would destroy what is an already faltering economic system.

The nations greater needs take precedence over continuing the focus on the recent bonus scandals that have been encircling such companies. President Barack Obama has urged the Nation to turn their attention to the bigger picture rather than focus on executive bonuses. While he has demonstrated outrage over this himself, he sites continued micro-attention on it as a distraction from the crisis at hand.

Obama stated that his administration is working on all angles of this crisis as we have seen through recent task forces designed to stop just this sort of behavior. He reiterated one part of his economic plan saying that its a strategy to create jobs, to help responsible homeowners, and to restart lending. This will help grow our economy over a period of time.

The president remains positive despite the worst economic crisis we’ve faced in over 25 years, but reminds Americans with his usual directness that it will take some time. It will also take composure and it will take an understanding that when we work together, when each of us looks beyond our own short term benefits to the wider set of obligations we have to each other, thats when we shall succeed.

by Pauline Davies

If you are require supplemental money to help pay for university, Astrive student loans could be what you need in order to get the extra financing you require. Astrive student loans are actually private loans that were set up to help cover the costs of schooling that are not paid for by the standard federally funded financial aid packages.

There are several ways that you can acquire Astrive student loans. First, you can apply by yourself. In order to do so, you need to have an extremely good credit history that has matured for no less than 26 months. This is typically difficult for young adults to meet, so the majority of individuals making use of Astrive student loans apply with a co-signer.

A co-signer is an individual with a good credit rating who is willing to back you and take the responsibility for your student loan. However, a co-signer must meet a certain list of requirements in order to be eligible.

There are several criteria that you will need to meet in order to be eligible for Astrive student loans. Firstly, you must already know which college you are going to attend. This is important, as Astrive must contact the school and acquire information on the loan process for that particular school. On top of that, they will verify that you will be going to that school, and set up the process of fund transfers from Astrive to the college.

Moreover, Astrive student loans function in a very similar way to how federally funded loans work. For example, there is the same six month grace period associated with federal funding and a very similar process of application. However, unlike federal funding, Astrive student loans are not bound by exactly the same limitations that federal funds are.

Also, federal funding only permits a certain maximum per student, while Astrive student loans are more flexible. If your credit rating and history, as well as that of your co-signer, allow a higher limit, you can get the amount that you require. This is extremely useful for those students who are enrolled in famous higher education centers, as these colleges are typically a great deal more expensive.

Just like with most financial centers, but unlike federal funding, Astrive student loans applications can be rejected for any reason they like. The reasons can range from economic downturns to the possibility that you may not repay the loan. The higher the risk you are, the more chance there is that your application will not be approved.

by Wade Henderson

There are many types of Point of Sales, or POS systems available. What you need to know is which one the ideal for you is. Here are some tips that will help you make a decision.

You can get different types of POS on the Internet for your use. Some are great for some companies and some others are not. The basic type of POS system is the one you can use in any installation and which fits most companies. These POS systems work with a basic computer system, and it does not need any other additional hardware to operate. Such systems are excellent for small businesses that are starting operations, and those who do not want to spend too much on their systems.

Another type of system can be that which has been integrated into the computer systems you must buy for the POS to work. These are the systems of retail options that have touch screen and are common in restaurants and other retail locations. There are also systems that are integrated into a computer that can scan and process credit card information for your business. These systems are good for retail stores and any place where a credit card is required to pay.

Choosing a system

Sometimes you may need some system to run their POS. This may be different for everyone, and sometimes difficult to choose. Here are some ideas to help you choose the right system for you.

Windows systems are widely used due to its easy connectivity. There are several operating systems that can work with your POS system. Some of these include Windows 2000, Windows XP and now the new version, Windows Vista. These systems have advantages and disadvantages, depending on how much disk space you need and how big is your POS system. Windows Vista continues to be a rather new application and it may take time to find a POS system that is compatible. Make sure it is, before buying one.

The other is the Macintosh operating system. These are growing in popularity because they are ideal for POS systems and they offer something different. This is practically a free system of virus. These systems are not the best choice for hackers and virus writers, because it is too complex for most to survive and do damage. These systems have also become easier to use over the years, making them an attractive option for people who want to start a business.

A prepaid credit card is a convenience because it is an alternative to carrying cash or writing checks. The PrimaCard gives easy purchase transactions, it can be used to make free long distance phone calls, withdraw cash from ATM’s, transfer money, and pay bills.

When you deposit funds to your card it is then ready to use just like cash. You can reload it at any time and for any amount.

It can be used wherever MasterCard is accepted, including online retailers and merchants. You won’t have the hassle of writing checks or having to carry cash to cover your expenses.

Phone Calls

One of the best features is that you can use it to place free national and international long distance phone calls. There will never be a need to worry about carrying a phone card again.

When you reload it by depositing cash to the account, you earn free phone calling value. All it takes to start using your accumulated phone time is a call to our toll-free number. You then dial your long distance number and talk to your family and friends.

Reloads

You can arrange with your employer to have your paycheck deposited directly into your account. No more trying to get to your bank before it closes or waiting in long lines.

Your money will be ready to use for bills, groceries, or other necessities when you need it. You can also reload at any Green Dot Network location. The Green Dot Network includes cash locations and well known retailers, such as CVS, Walgreens and Rite-Aid.

Cash from ATM’s

If you prefer to use cash for your expenses, you can use one of the thousands of ATM’s. You will need to use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for withdrawals.

Bill Paying

If your creditor or utility service accepts MasterCard payments, you can simply call the business and pay over the phone. Another option is to call the toll-free customer service telephone number and make payments that way. You can also make payments from your account online.

Cash Transfers

If you need to send family members cash your account can be connected to additional cards, and you can transfer funds at any time. This is a great idea if you have a college student far from home or a family member who is traveling. You can rest assured they will have access to cash immediately.

Having a lot of credit card debt can be incredibly stressful; almost as if you are being crushed under the sheer weight of all of that debt. Consolidating all of your credit card debt into one payment can make things easier for you – in fact, consolidating your debts can save you a lot of money each month as opposed to making all of those separate payments.

There are a lot of advantages of consolidating your debt. The major reason being that when you consolidate all of your credit card debt, you will get a better interest rate than paying off your cards one by one. This also saves you a great deal of money that can be used elsewhere.

Not only will consolidating your credit card debt save you money on interest rates, consolidating your debt will greatly reduce the stress which can come from carrying a lot of debt. You won’t have to wonder where you’re going to get the money to pay all of those separate credit card payments ad you’ll be able to make ends meet while still paying off your credit card debt.

No you do need to know that when you consolidate all of your credit card payments into one monthly payment that you will have the consolidated cards terminated and the associated accounts closed. This can improve your credit rating, although for some people this may be a bitter pill to swallow. All in all, it’s for the best.

If you are looking to consolidate your credit card debt, you shouldn’t hesitate to let the professionals help you. There are a lot of companies and banks that specialize in consolidation, and would be more than willing to help you. Before you make your decision though, you should always research your options available and find the best one for your needs. You should also make sure that there are no hidden fees or other problems as well. If you take the time to research, you’ll save a lot of money in the future.

If you’ve had problems with your credit card debt, you’re hardly alone. Millions have had the same kinds of troubles. Credit cards are a necessity for some, but it can be all too easy to go overboard with them and get yourself into a lot of trouble. Before you know it, you could be facing a mountain of debt – and a lot of stress because of it. It could take you decades to pay off all of your cards separately; that’s where consolidation comes in.

Make a list of all the credit cards you own and how much you owe on each card. This is what you will give to the financial institution that you have chosen. They in turn will contact these companies and make the best deal that they can with them.

With things being a little bit on the tough side economically these days, some people are having to re-evaluate their options and their positions in an attempt to get an edge. The Los Angeles, California refinance process, for instance, has grown in popularity over the past few months. With that in mind, what should you know about refinancing in LA?

1. Refinancing leads to Better Rates

In negotiating their mortgages for the first time, people usually get a high rate. With refinancing, home owners can get a better and lower rate now even with the current economic situation. People consider taking the Los Angeles, California refinance process with the desire that they want to save money. If you have a reliable record in your bank, they will be happy to help you in getting a loan and better rates.

2. Hassle Free Process

People usually think that refinancing will take a long time and will only make them spend more money. In these times, most people do not have extra time to spare and would view meeting countless bank executives as a hassle. What you need to know is that the Los Angeles, California refinance process can be completed quickly as long as you have enough credit to meet the criteria for a solid refinance.

3. Better Loan Terms

People refinance to get a better set of terms for their loan. This is because their loans have a high rate or that their loans have unpredictable rates, which is very difficult to deal with especially if you have a fixed budget for everything.

With refinancing, you can have an idea of what you’re dealing with by getting a set loan term. And if you have been paying off your loan responsibly, you can even get the benefit of having better loan terms with more flexibility and advantages concerning your mortgage.

Taken as a whole, the refinancing process is a very good move to take today.
